Peer Review Process
The Qubahan Journal of Coaching and Sports Sciences (QJCS) operates a double-anonymous peer-review system.
Under this model:
• Reviewers do not receive author identities.
• Authors do not receive reviewer identities.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT
Each manuscript is initially assessed for:
• Relevance to the Aims and Scope
• Originality
• Scholarly contribution
• Methodological quality
• Research ethics
• Research-integrity requirements
• Presentation quality
• Suitability for external review
REVIEWER SELECTION
Manuscripts progressing to peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Submitted manuscripts are confidential documents.
REVIEW CRITERIA
Reviewers assess:
• Originality
• Relevance
• Scientific contribution
• Study design
• Methodology
• Statistical or analytical approach
• Evidence
• Interpretation
• Ethical compliance
• Presentation
• References
• Conclusions
EDITORIAL DECISIONS
Possible decisions include:
• Accept
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Resubmit for Review
• Reject
Reviewer recommendations are advisory.
Final responsibility rests with the Editor-in-Chief or delegated academic editor.
CONFLICTING REVIEWS
Where reports materially conflict, an editor may seek clarification or invite an additional reviewer.
EDITORIAL-BOARD SUBMISSIONS
Manuscripts authored by editors or individuals associated with QJCS must be handled independently and without preferential treatment.
