QJCS accepts legitimate complaints and editorial appeals concerning:

• Editorial procedures
• Peer review
• Publication ethics
• Research integrity
• Journal conduct
• Published material
• Administrative processes

EDITORIAL APPEALS

Authors may appeal where they believe that a significant factual misunderstanding, procedural failure, or demonstrable assessment error materially affected a decision.

An appeal should:

• Identify the manuscript
• Identify the decision
• Explain specific grounds
• Provide relevant evidence

APPEAL ASSESSMENT

Where reasonably possible, an appeal should be assessed by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints should provide sufficient information to allow investigation.

COMPLAINTS INVOLVING THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Such complaints should be referred to an appropriate independent senior editor or publisher representative.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Complaints and appeals will be handled fairly, objectively, respectfully, and as confidentially as reasonably possible.

NO RETALIATION

Individuals raising legitimate concerns in good faith should not be subjected to retaliation.
