Publishing Process
QJCS follows a structured editorial workflow designed to maintain scholarly quality, research integrity, editorial independence, and consistency of the published record.
STAGE 1 — SUBMISSION
Authors submit manuscripts through the journal's Open Journal Systems platform.
STAGE 2 — ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SCREENING
The Editorial Office checks:
• Manuscript completeness
• Author information
• Formatting
• Required declarations
• Supporting files
• Compliance with submission requirements
STAGE 3 — EDITORIAL SCREENING
An academic editor evaluates:
• Relevance to the Aims and Scope
• Scholarly quality
• Originality
• Clarity of contribution
• Methodological adequacy
• Research-integrity concerns
• Suitability for external review
STAGE 4 — RESEARCH-INTEGRITY SCREENING
Where appropriate, submissions may undergo:
• Similarity assessment
• Ethics approval verification
• Informed-consent verification
• Conflict-of-interest review
• Funding-disclosure review
• Authorship checks
• Image or data integrity checks
STAGE 5 — DOUBLE-ANONYMOUS PEER REVIEW
Manuscripts progressing to review are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.
Author identities are concealed from reviewers and reviewer identities are concealed from authors.
STAGE 6 — EDITORIAL DECISION
Possible decisions include:
• Accept
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Resubmit for Review
• Reject
STAGE 7 — REVISION
Authors submit a revised manuscript and point-by-point response.
STAGE 8 — FINAL DECISION
The Editor-in-Chief or delegated academic editor makes the final decision.
STAGE 9 — PRODUCTION
Copyediting → Layout → Proofreading → Metadata Verification → Final Quality Control
STAGE 10 — PUBLICATION
The Version of Record is published with complete metadata, DOI, licence information, volume and issue details, and full text.
