Generative Artificial Intelligence Policy
The Qubahan Journal of Coaching and Sports Sciences (QJCS) recognizes that Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) raises important issues concerning authorship, originality, accountability, confidentiality, and research integrity.
1. AI AUTHORSHIP
Artificial intelligence systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
2. AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITY
Human authors remain responsible for:
• Accuracy
• Originality
• References
• Data
• Analysis
• Interpretation
• Ethical compliance
• Conclusions
3. PROHIBITED PRACTICES
QJCS prohibits:
• Fabricated references
• Fabricated data
• Invented quotations
• Fraudulent AI-generated scholarly content
• Misleading AI-generated evidence
• AI-generated or manipulated images that misrepresent results
• Undisclosed AI use where disclosure is required
4. DISCLOSURE
Permitted GenAI use should be disclosed where it substantially contributes to manuscript preparation.
Disclosure should identify:
• Tool
• Purpose
• Extent of use
5. REVIEWER CONFIDENTIALITY
Reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts into third-party AI systems where confidentiality may be compromised.
6. EDITORIAL CONFIDENTIALITY
Editors must protect confidential manuscript information.
7. AI DETECTION
AI-detection results must not alone establish misconduct.
8. ACCOUNTABILITY
Human authors, reviewers, and editors remain accountable for all scholarly responsibilities.
