Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
The Qubahan Journal of Coaching and Sports Sciences (QJCS) is committed to protecting the integrity, reliability, transparency, and credibility of the scholarly record.
The journal's policies are informed by established international publication-ethics and research-integrity principles.
1. ORIGINALITY AND PLAGIARISM
The following are prohibited:
• Plagiarism
• Unattributed copying
• Inappropriate text recycling
• Fabrication
• Falsification
• Deceptive data manipulation
• Deceptive image manipulation
• Duplicate publication
Similarity reports are screening tools and numerical similarity percentages alone do not determine plagiarism.
2. DUPLICATE SUBMISSION
Manuscripts must not be simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
3. AUTHORSHIP
Guest, gift, honorary, and ghost authorship are prohibited.
4. CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose relevant competing interests.
5. FUNDING
Relevant financial and institutional support must be disclosed.
6. DATA INTEGRITY
Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or misleading presentation of data is prohibited.
7. DATA AVAILABILITY
A Data Availability Statement should be included where appropriate.
8. HUMAN PARTICIPANTS
Research involving human participants must comply with appropriate ethical requirements.
9. CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE POPULATIONS
Appropriate additional safeguards must be used.
10. INFORMED CONSENT
Informed consent must be obtained where required.
11. ANIMAL RESEARCH
Animal research must comply with appropriate welfare standards.
12. PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Sensitive or identifiable information must be appropriately protected.
13. CITATION ETHICS
Fabricated citations, coercive citation, citation cartels, and metric manipulation are prohibited.
14. EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE
Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly and ethical considerations.
15. MISCONDUCT
Credible concerns may result in:
• Requests for clarification
• Suspension of review
• Rejection
• Requests for supporting data
• Corrections
• Expressions of Concern
• Retractions
• Institutional notification where justified
